How to Post an Image on the Forum

In general, you upload the image to a photo storage site. Then insert a link to the image into your ATGO forum post, via the “Insert Image” button. Pretty simple process. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

You probably already have a free photo storage account. But if you don’t, set up a free account that supports direct linking, such as Flickr (yahoo), Photobucket, Google Photos, or Imgur. There are other free photo storage sites you can use as. I just haven’t tried them.
Upload the image to your photo storage site.
Copy the link to the image. Each site requires a different technique. So you might need to experiment to get the right type of link. In Flickr, copy the “bbCode” link; in Photobucket, copy the “Direct Link”; in Google Photos, after you’ve enlarged the image, right-click it and select “Copy Image URL”; In Imgur, copy the “Direct Link”.
In an ATGO forum, click on the “New Topic” button to… start a new topic. Or if you are replying to an existing topic, click on the “Post Reply” button.
This brings up the “Post a New Topic/Reply” window where you can add text, images, videos and links. You can also attach documents.
To insert an image, click on the “Insert Image” button. Then in the “URL” window, paste the link you created in Step 3. Click on the “Insert” button and you will see your link, now with the IMG tag, moved to the text window.
Add a comment as appropriate and click on the “Preview” button to… preview your post.
When you’re happy, click on the “Submit” button and you’re done.
Note: You can’t insert an image from the “Quick Reply” window found at the bottom of each post/thread. You’ll first need to click on the “Post Reply” button to get the full formatting/insert menu.
